In response to several allegations made against people trying to score cheap political points in this coronavirus time, the member of parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Hon Mrs. Lydia Alhassan has asked people involve in such humanitarian act to stop it
After her colleague MP, Dr.Zanetor Rawlings lamented about partisanship distribution of food to some people few days ago, Mrs Lydia did not hesitate aqs she also sends warning to people who are doing that.
She said, the country is not in its normal time, so she won’t involve herself in that and doesn’t also expect people to keep on with their political behavior, continuing, she said “I don’t know all the members and even don’t have all the numbers of the NPP members, it will not be in my interest as an MP to do that, we are in an uncertain time, this is not a time for any well-meaning individual to do that.
Furthermore, as a nation, we should all know that we are not in normal time so we should all help the government fight the pandemic. this is the time we need togetherness to be able to win the battle.
She ended up saying, “shame to all persons who are involving in such activities and calls for the involvement of everyone irrespective of your political affiliation.
