Earlier this week, we reported on a video capturing the osu Klottey-Korley constituency member of parliament, Dr. Zanetor Rawlings displaying her displeasure of the partisanship distribution of foods which is meant to be giving to the poor irrespective of your political background. The host of good evening Ghana show on metro tv, Paul Adom Otchere, in response to the allegation by the MP said she should stop misbehaving and learn from his parents.

This attack comes of no surprise as many people don’t know that Paul Adom Otchere is an appointee of the president. Paul is a Board Member of the National Communications Authority (NCA). He’s alleged to be part of those who took the decision to shut down Radio Gold, Montie FM, Radio XYZ, and other pro-NDC Radio stations and has caused other people jobless

In his submission on his popular show, the journalist, attacked the member of parliament personally saying Ghanaians have respect for her because of the family she hails from.

He continued:

“You’re the daughter of the former President. All of would have been happy to be the daughter of JJ Rawlings, I believe…this is the person that you’re emulating in politics and you come to make statements that are unsubstantiated? With this huge background that you have, is that the kind of politics that you’ve turned into? We sincerely hope that this was just a blip and it would never happen again.”

The journalist added that if Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings had read through her prepared comments for the second time before addressing the media, she would have behaved in a manner worthy of a parliamentarian.

“Oko Vanderpuije spoke to the minister before he spoke to the press, did you do any such thing in your Klottey-Korley constituency?” the TV broadcaster quizzed.

“…Are you learning something that as an honorable member of parliament, before you speak to the press, you must confront the allegation with the authority…you confront the allegation because you have position…you have power, you have an influence…you are an elected member of parliament, you ought to be listened to by the authorities,” Adom-Otchere said.

He finally told the MP to learn to be responsible in her comments on matters of public interest.

Dr.Rawlings response to that was that, yes, she has evidences of whatever she came out to say,so they are asking the government for a proper accountability of the disbursement of funds and food.
