Thedistin.com has sighted a video of a Nigerian woman who is being flogged by a group of police officers amid the lockdown in some parts of Nigeria.
President Buhari, who just lost his chief of staff, Abba Kyari to the deadly coronavirus, initiated a lockdown in some parts of Nigeria where coronavirus cases have been confirmed.
In a video sighted by thedistin.com, the Police who have been tasked to enforce the lockdown directive by President Buhari seem to be abusing their power.
In the video, a couple of police officers are seen lashing an elderly woman with sticks right in front of their police vehicle.
According to an eye witness, the police officers meant the woman sitting in front of her house and asked her to go inside.
According to the woman, there’s nothing wrong sitting in front of her house. The police found it quite offensive and began flogging her.
