The Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu has replied to Captain Smart’s allegation that musicians who performed at the recent COVID-19 Virtual Concert were paid.In a post sighted by thedistin.com, the Communications Minister insisted none of the artistes was paid to perform.
Captain Smart, who plies his trade with Accra-based Adom FM, also invoked curses on anyone who would use the COVID-19 outbreak as an opportunity to make illicit money.
In her rebuttal, Madam Ursula Owusu said Captain Smart’s curse will be on his head and that of his family.
She questioned what the Adom FM presenter ate, drunk or smoke before making such utterances.
She wrote on Facebook: “Someone should please tell Captain Smart that I return his curses on me to sender. He and his family will suffer, not me. I don’t lie and for those who find it hard to believe or are hard of hearing, let me repeat it again. GOVERNMENT OF GHANA DID NOT PAY A PESEWA TO ANYONE FOR EITHER THE COVID 19 TRACkER APP OR THE VIRTUAL CONCERT TO LAUNCH IT.
I don’t know what he ate, drank, or smoked but I have not received any money from anyone for this or been given any invoice to pay. There is no nokofio on my watch. Chew on it.
