Gasmilla reveals he needs to be acknowledged by Sarkodie, E.L and others who are claiming they are the champions in Azonto, he says he’s the real King of Azonto in an interview with Abeiku Santana.
Odartei Milla Lamptey popularly known as Gasmilla or International Fisherman, has subtly shaded any Ghanaian musician as he defend with reasons why he’s the Azonto king.
This comes after recently a campaign by Sarkodie to bring back the azonto music was launched amid the outbreak of Coronavirus as a means to get Ghanaians entertained.
Undoubtedly, we can’t mention Azonto music without leaving Gasmilla’s name out and since Sarkodie is trying to push it again, it has irked the ‘Telemo’ hitmaker.
Gasmilla believes that Sarkodie should have reached out to him when he got the idea that he wanted to bring back the craze which has fizzled out.
Responding to the question of whether he would do an azonto song and send it to Sarkodie to add his voice, he said he would not do that.
“I sent my hip hop record to him to add his voice on my album and he did so for us to work, he needs to send me his record”
he told Abeiku Santana
Taking us back to history, Gasmilla got furious even though he didn’t show any facial gestures while explaining why awards schemes failed to acknowledge him, he expressed his disgust in them when he noted that even musician Atom who remixed his track was awarded.
