The ministry of finance led by Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta made it known to the public that the country’s economy was now in a good shape last year.
A year down the lane, after the world pandemic struck the country, the government quickly ran to International Monetary Fund(IMF) to seek a loan to be able to handle the economy and to help sustain the balance of payment.
After COVID-19 was declared by WHO as a pandemic,Ghana was asked to set aside at least an amount of Gh 35million which we couldn’t afford as at then.
Also, the current government’s continuous criticism against the Mahama led government when opposition clearly meant the economy was managed poorly.
In the vice president, Dr.Mahamadu Bawumia’s recent presentation and response to the former president, John Dramani Mahama, highlighted once again that, the economy is in good shape and also asked Mr.Mahama to check his data before commenting.
There had been threats by social media users as most of them can’t hold their anger anymore after the Dr.Bawumia comments on the economy once again. Some have labeled him as a comedian since he does more talking than what he preaches .
