Derick Amponsah, a 27 years old excavator operator has been given 7 years imprisonment by a circuit court in Bekwai, which was ruled by Her Honour, Joyce Boahen, for raping and biting the clitoris of a 15 years old girl.
This sad incident happened at Manso Yawkrom which is situated in the Amansie West District of Ashanti Region of Ghana.
According to the reports given to the court by Detective Chief Inspector Stephen Ofori, the convict requested the 15 years old victim on the phone to wash his dirty clothes for him but he returned home to meet them unwashed.
Due to this, he went to her house to get her so she comes to do the laundry in his house but she first rejected the idea. Later after she was convinced, he came together with her and she was asked to take the lead into his room but she disagreed. This caused the convict to force her into his room and on his bed to rape her.
During the act, he used his mouth, fingers, and penis which caused the little to bleed after the act. A medical check-up was done for her and the report indicated that, her hymen had been broken completely.
According to the prosecutor, the mother of the criminal gave the victim water to clean herself after the unlawful act of his son.
Amponsah was taken into police custody after a complaint was made to the police team. He was sent to court and he pleaded guilty of assault and defilement and he also accepted all his offenses.
Using acts contravene Sections 84 and 101 respectively the of Criminal Offences Act, Act 29 of 960, he was jailed 7 for years in prison with hard labour.
