The task force in Cross River State of Calabar situated in Nigeria, stormed the Christ Apostolic Church in the state, to stop an ongoing wedding ceremony in the church amid coronavirus pandemic.

Due to the rapid spread of coronavirus which has caused an increment in Nigeria’s confirmed cases, a ban was imposed on all public gatherings as a measure to help control the disease.

To ensure the citizens adhere to the laid down directives of the government, the task force has been given the mandate to monitor and punish any person who breaks the rule. As a result, they disrupted the wedding ceremony of the would-be couple to make sure the right thing is being done.

In the video recorded after the arrival of the task force, the members of the church including invited guests who were there to give their full support were seen running out of the church premises to save themselves from any punishment. The would-be couple was also seen going out with fear whereas the pastor was left alone to deal with the task force.
