Land guards in the vicinity of Fetteh Kakraba and Tuansah have been arrested by the police team of Millennium City Divisional Police Command, for the persecution and butchering of members in the said community, mostly motor riders and carpenters.
The police indicated that, the victims who had an encounter with the arrested Land Guards amid the Land guard activities had wounds wreaked on their bodies with cutlasses and guns.
In order to hide their deeds from the police, they colluded with one healthcare provider to bandage some parts of their bodies with gauze and plaster as if they were the casualties.
Speaking with Adom News, one woman who was identified as the wife of one of the casualties, admitted in Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital, requested that, the Inspector General Of Police, help them out of this unfortunate incident as people are getting injured as a result of the land guard activities.
She explained that, her husband has been a victim of this incident and some workers especially masons and motor riders are scared to perform their normal duties in the town.
According to Nana kwao Obrendu, the Odikro of Gomoa Tuansah several petitions have been directed towards the police command of Kasoa and Berekum but they have not put in an effort to save his people and to let the situation calm down.
