Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has called out National Communications Officer of the opposition NDC Sammy Gyamfi to retract and take down his George Floyd-EC cartoon post.

It all started with a tweet by the Sammy trolling the NPP over the pressure from them[NPP] and the Electoral Commission to create a new voters’ register, …this which has been a topic trending for days especially due to the current coronavirus outbreak.

The meme was a recreation [cartoon] of the scene of African-American, George Floyd’s death– showing President Nana Addo, and the current EC Boss, Madam Charlotte Osei kneeling on Ghanaian voters. Click here to see his post.

Following this, Sammy Gyamfi is facing backlash on social media over a photo he posted on Twitter.

While reacting to the backlash, Sammy explained his post maintaining that his post is not a mockery of the racist killing of George Floyd in the US.

In response to his explanation, award winning rapper Sarkodie has called on the NDC Communication Officer to retract and take down his post.

Naa my brother we all go wrong sometimes… I will believe your intention wasn’t to joke with these serious n very sensitive issues, but you still wrong just do what’s right…. retract n take it down
