Diego Costa sentenced to 6-months in Spanish jail for tax fraud
The Spanish football federation does not take it easy on Tax issues. With-it an unsurprising judgment on Thursday, Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa has been sentenced to 6-months in a Spanish jail for tax fraud.
However, Diego Costa will have that jail sentence suspended after he plead guilty to the charges.
Instead, Costa will pay a fine of €36,000. The footballer has already paid €1.1 million to the tax man, while he’s also agreed to pay a further €507,208 to Spanish tax authorities.
