Three Other Minneapolis Police Officers Involved In George Floyd’s Death Face High Charges

About a week ago, four Minneapolis Police Officers in the United States of America, were dismissed from work by Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo, for the murder of a black man ” George Floyd”, who died as a result of a police officer identified as Derek Chauvin, kneeled on the neck of handcuffed George Floyd till he became motionless in the presence of his three other accomplices who gave a helping hand in his death.

The cruel act of these police officers captured in a video that went viral, caused the convict ” Derek Chauvin” to be charged with 3rd-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter after black citizens worldwide, protest against their actions for justice to prevail.

The three accomplices to the murder of George Floyd identified as ” Thomas Lane, J. Alexander Kueng, and Tou Thao,” have also been confirmed charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder. Their degree murder charges according to the law, are actionable by 40 years imprisonment whereas 10 years imprisonment is for manslaughter.

“I strongly believe that these developments are in the interest of justice for Mr. Floyd, his family, our community and our state,”

The convict was charged with murder and manslaughter in accordance with complaints and evidence raised in killing George Floyd without intent and assaulting the deceased.

Floyd’s family’s attorney ” Benjamin Crump,” expressed how gladdened the family of the deceased is with the charges raised against Chauvin Derek and his accomplices involved in the death of George Floyd who was murdered on 25 May by these four Minneapolis Police Officers in Minnesota.

“This is a bittersweet moment. We are deeply gratified that (Ellison) took decisive action, arresting & charging ALL the officers involved in #GeorgeFloyd’s death & upgrading the charge against Derek Chauvin to felony second-degree murder,”

“We are relieved it has been upgraded to second-degree murder but the Attorney General has informed the family the investigation is ongoing, and if there is evidence to support first-degree murder conviction, they will charge it,” 

“I did not allow public pressure to impact our decision-making process,”

“We made these decisions based on the facts that we gathered since this matter occurred and made these charges based on the law that we think applies,”
