Eight policemen of the Kogo State community which include their Divisional Police Officer have been murdered by armed robbers amid invasion of a bank at Isanlu situated in the Local Government of Yagba East.
Members of the community, have been in shock and panic since the dangerous attack as they feel insecure living in the area. In the process the bandits shot, injured, and killed some residents that crossed their path, and they later headed towards Kogo State police command to murder these police offices in order for easy stealing to be done without interruptions.
These bandits attacked the old generation bank around 4 pm in the evening, using dynamite to help break through the doors of the bank. They robbed thousands of naira and picked up other finance sources for their personal gains.
“They attacked the community police station and killed so many officers, even passersby were not spared,”
the eyewitness said.
Speaking with SaharaReporters, the police spokesperson indicated that, the town has since the sudden attack, been in chaos whereas normal activities have also been distorted due to fear of being injured or killed by this bandits
