The New Patriotic Party (NPP) on today 8th June 2020, released its list of Parliamentary aspirants ahead of its primaries on 20th June 2020. This was announced in a press conference by the party’s General Secretary, Mr. John Boadu.
Many sympathizers of the ruling New Patriotic Party throughout last week, demonstrated their displeasure on how some of their preferred candidates got disqualified.
The youth of some communities went to the extent of ruining curses upon the leaders who are behind the disqualification of their candidate. Tires and some party structures were also burnt and the constituency offices also got locked up by the NPP youth.
The party’s General Secretary did not hesitate to level the party’s constitutional punishment of those involved in the destruction of the properties during their demonstration. Soon after, the list of the parliamentary aspirants on the tickets of the New Patriotic Party got released.
