Lt. Col. Mfum has confirmed the death of a male resident, who died amid the dangerous flood which overtook a township, near, Odawna in the Greater Accra Region Of Ghana, as a result of the deceased electrified during the heavy flow of water.
The heavy downpour of water during the rainfall at the Odawna township endangered the lives of the community members.
48 Engineers Regiment of the Ghana Armed Forces in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) worked hard during the flood to rescue about 20 victims who were stuck in the flood.
He indicated that, the deceased lost his life in an attempt to protect his items from being dragged by flood.
Some communities, involved in the flood include Odaw, Avenor, and Dansoman and some people lost their properties amid the flood.
