Thieves Storms EC’s Office In Affigya Kwabre South Constituency | Check Why

Robbers have stormed the office of Kodie’s Electoral Commission to steal laptops, a 41-inch flat-screen television set, and other electrical gadgets, which has important information of the EC, on June 6, which was a Friday.

This incident happened at  Affigya Kwabre South Constituency, a suburb of the Ashanti Region of Ghana, around 7:00 p.m.

The police crew after a complaint was lodged, began an intensive investigation to aid in tracing the culprits, involved in the theft. Two convicts were apprehended in relation to the case after a thorough investigation.

The two suspects which have been taken into the custody of the police include, 29 years old Eric Oteng Asamoah, and 18 years Samuel Nti.

They had to access to the documents by using the back door into the main office where items were stolen. A complaint was lodged by a staff called Alexander Eshun after which the police made a visit to the scene to confirm the case and to start investigations.

The above suspects identified were apprehended by the police in relation to what happened.

The police also want to confirm that, the theft case is not attributed to any political issues.

Measures are still in place, to help capture the culprits, involved in the act.
