A Nigerian resident who based in the northern part of Dangora has been apprehended for defiling 40 young women in the vicinity of Dangora, in a year period.
Abdullahi Haruna, the spokesman for the police in Dangora, explained, that he was caught red-handed in the sleeping room of some young girls of the children, but took to his heels into a hideout, after which the members of the community involved themselves in searching for him following his arrest on Tuesday.
According to sources, the rate of defilement and murder case of women has been on the rise between the ages of about 80 years and young children of 10 years. This has indeed increased the fear among women and children which led the Nigerian Citizens to protest against defilement for peace to prevail.
Reporting the incident to reporter Mansur Abubakar from BBC News, the police explained that, the location and distance of the own, make it complicated in reaching out to the authorities for help and other developmental strategies.
Ahmadu Yau, the chief of the town stated
“People of Dangora are so happy at this time and we hope justice will be served appropriately.”
Women in the area, speaking with BBC news expressed how happy they after the arrest of the rapist as they were always in fear due to the cruel acts of the convict.
