A resident of Somanya has been reported death amid a crash between the vehicle ” Toyota Matrix Salon car ” of a soldier, identified as W.O. II Teye Stephen Kwame and the deceased ” Alphonse Duatte” at Akorle in Somanya.
This sad incident occurred around 11:45 pm when the 43 years old accused who works with 49 Engineer Regiment, in Burma Camp was heading towards Accra from Somanya and accidentally got into a crash with the cyclist, which led to the sudden death of the cyclist.
The police command in the Eastern Region, upon hearing this information, deployed his boy to the site, for confirmation and to take both accused and car to the station for better investigations and justice.
According to PRO Sargeant Francis Gomado of the police, the lifeless body of the deceased has been conveyed to the mortuary for preservation, the investigation has begun and the accused has been handed over to the Army team to deal with the situation.
