Golden Star is hiring experienced and educated individuals for the position

Drifter Rebuild Supervisor

Responsibilities

The successful candidate shall work within ISO procedures and GSWL components Rebuild Contamination control requirements to perform the following duties:

  •  Work on all models of Sandvik Rock Drills by following Sanvik reusability guidelines
  •  Schedule work at the bench and maintain effective workflow
  •  Perform failure analysis and other related RCA and recommended improvement actions
  •  Train and coach other technicians to rebuild components
  •  Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure parts availability for timely repairs and maintenance
  •  Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the supervisor

Qualification

  •  A minimum of Technician Part 3 certificate
  •  A certified rock drill rebuilder certificate from OEM with a minimum of 5 years experience in drifter rebuilding
  •  Inspecting Engineer certificate of competency from the Minerals Commission of Ghana
  •  Certificate in Root cause analysis preferably from Apollo Root cause analysis
  •  A valid Ghanaian driving license

Ability & Skill Requirements

  •  Proven experience in rebuilding variety of drifters including HLX5, HL11560, and HL820ST
  •  Extensive experience in measuring seal and parts dimensions using precision measuring instruments(e.g. Micrometers, etc)
  •  Ability to learn quickly and effectively the operations of individual systems and rebuild techniques
  •  Demonstrate high safety and a culture of duty of care
  •  Must be computer literate with working knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  •  Must be able to work independently, safely and make sound decisions
  •  Must have attention for details

Drifter Rebuild Technician

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate shall work within ISO procedures and GSWL components rebuild contamination control requirements to perform the following duties:
  •  Work on all models of Sandvik Rock Drills
  •  Schedule work at the bench and maintain effective workflow
  •  Recondition drifters and undertake repairs without close supervision
  •  Place request for parts and ensure timely delivery to complete tasks
  •  Work within GSWL component rebuild contamination control requirements
  •  Perform failure analysis and other related RCA and recommended improvement actions
  •  Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulation
  •  Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the supervisor

Qualification

  •  A minimum of Mechanical Technician Part 2 certificate
  •  A certified rock drill rebuilder certificate from OEM with a minimum of 3 years experience in drifter rebuilding
  •  Certificate in Root cause analysis preferably from Apollo root cause analysis or equivalent
  •  A valid Ghanaian driving license

Ability & Skill Requirements
