Former President, John Dramani Mahama has announced the date he will officially outdoor Naana Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate for the December 2020 election.
According to him in a post sighted, he will officially out-door his running mate, Professor Naana Jane Okopu-Agyemng, at a ceremony in Accra on Monday 27th July 2020.
In the post, the presidential candidate for the New Democratic Congress, (NDC) disclosed that the ceremony will take place in Accra.
He also revealed that, the ceremony will be limited to about one hundred (100) people drawn from a wide array of groupings, with a live broadcast on radio and television and also a livestream across social media.
Taking to his Instagram, he posted a photo of himself and Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang and wrote;
I will, on Monday at 6.45 pm, host a ceremony to formally out-door my Running Mate for the December elections, Professor Naana Jane Opoku- Agyemang.
A distinguished and respected academic, Naana Jane is the first female Running Mate on the ticket of a major political party in Ghana. She is credited with pursuing a healthy mixture of innovative policy initiatives, quality outcomes and massive infrastructural development during her tenure as Minister for Education.
Because of the COVID-19 protocols, the ceremony will be limited to about one hundred (100) people drawn from a wide array of groupings, with a live broadcast on radio and television and also a Livestream across social media and on my various Handles and Pages, @JDMahama.
