The lifeless body of a 36 weeks old pregnant woman identified as Flavia Godinho Mafra, have been discovered with the baby taken out of her womb after she was introduced by her old friend to a fake baby shower.
This sad incident, happened in Canelinha, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
Reports from NSC Total, indicates that, her old school friend was behind the murder of the deceased as she deceived her to the site of incident with a pretense of baby shower and she killed her using a brick.
G1 newspaper reported that, the detective in charge of the murder case verified the cause of death as a result of sharp object to the abdomen and injuries occurred from the bricks.
The lifeless body of the deceased was retrieved on the 28th of August by husband and mother of the deceased in a pottery without the baby.
Amid the investigations, it was revealed that the old school friend of the deceased and her husband had taken the baby to the hospital for medical care. She admitted that, she used bricks to murder her friend as she has been planning to steal a child due to the miscarriage she experienced in January.
The suspects which includes the old school friend and husband has been apprehended for interrogation and questioning whereas the baby has be detained in the hospital for treatment due to injuries sustained amid the manner in which her mother died.
Investigations are still ongoing and it would soon be revealed if the baby was taken out of mother’s womb whilst she was alive or dead.
