The President of The National House of Chiefs, Togbe Afede XIV has reacted to reports making rounds in the media space in which the National House of Chiefs was reported to have condemned the flagbearer of the opposition NDC, John Dramani Mahama over supposed “ethnocentric comments”.

It will be recalled that it was widely reported by various news outlets that the National House of Chiefs had condemned former President John Mahama for endorsing and sharing a write-up by MP for Bolga Central, Isaac Adongo in which he referred to elements in the NPP as “Akyem Sakawa boys”.

However, according to the revered traditional ruler, the general public should ignore and disregard the said reports since the National House of Chiefs has not issued any such statements.

According to the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli state, the publication which made rounds yesterday is extremely mischievous, untrue and must be disregarded.

Togbe made the statement while addressing a sitting of the Volta regional House of Chiefs on Wednesday, 2nd September, 2020.
