Usman Muhammed, a Nigerian citizen has been sued and jailed by Kwara state high court for six months, for disguising himself to be a lady and used that opportunity to dupe men.
The 29 years old convict, who uses nude photos to dupe the victims involved was apprehended in his home at Abeokuta.
Considering his unlawful work as an internet fraudster, the ruling judge, identified as Justice Sikiru Oyinloye, granted him two options, to either pay a fine of N50,000 in 24 hours or to be jailed for six months.
The judgment to his offense was passed based on section 95 of the Penal Code Laws of Northern Nigeria.
“That you, Usman Muhammed (a.k.a Adepeju Omolara and Guns Omolara Valle), sometime in February 2020 or thereabout at Ilorin, Kwara State, within the jurisdiction of his honorable court, attempted to commit an offense of cheating by impersonation by pretending and representing yourself to be a woman called Omolara Adepeju and Guns Omolara Valle, to unsuspected men on social media as it contained in both your Facebook and WhatsApp conversations on your phone and thereby committed an offense contrary to and punishable under Section 95 of the Penal Code Laws of Northern Nigeria.”
