Reggie Rockstone And His Wife Take Ghanaian Waakye International As They Get Featured On BBC

Legendary Ghanaian musician Reggie Rockstone and his wife Zilla Limann make Ghana proud as the couple got featured BBC for their creative style of selling waakye.

Waakye is a Ghanaian dish of cooked rice and beans, commonly eaten for breakfast or lunch. However, others eat it for supper.

The rice and beans, usually black-eyed peas or cow beans, are cooked together, along with red dried sorghum leaf sheaths or stalks and limestone.

A few months ago, Grandpapa and his wife revolutionize the manner in which waakye is served.

The couple decided to serve the Ghana delicacy by placing the waakye in a jar with a leaf wrapped around the jar.

His new style of packaging waakye was ridiculed by many Ghanaians, however his innovative way has earned him a feature on BBC.

Reggie Rockstone and his wife Zilla Limann have been running the waakye business named “RockzWaakye” for some years now.

He wrote on his Instagram page that;
