Facebook took down Nana Akuffo-Addo’s Free Senior High School campaign ad he shared on his official Facebook page some months ago before reposting the ad again.
A few months ago, President Nana Akuffo-Addo shared on Facebook a Free SHS campaign ad showing a hopeless young girl on the street and indulging in activities that the society frowns on.
In the video which has warmed the hearts of many since it’s released on Facebook especially beneficiaries of the Free Senior School initiative and other lovers of the the sitting president who are rooting for him to still stay in power for the next four years.

The CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, on Friday 26th June in a press conference said posts that “may lead to violence or deprive people of their right to vote” will be removed regardless of who posts them or whether they may be considered newsworthy.
Since Nana Akufo Addo’s campaign post was meant to somewhere persuade people for their votes during the incoming general election, it might have been a violation to the policies on Facebook.
Also, one big explanation for Facebook to delete the campaign ad may be that several individuals reported the video, which would then make it questionable for Facebook to remove the video ad.

After being tagged as against the Facebook regulations, an appeal needs to be submitted to Facebook for the message to be posted again on Facebook. In the letter of appeal, the motive of the post must be included and after evaluating the article, if it fits the Facebook community, permission will be given for one to repost what has been deleted.
In this case, a similar process was taken by Nana Akuffo-Addo’s Facebook handler making it right to be reposted.
