President Akufo-Addo has finally spoken about the widespread tensions and atrocities in Nigeria in relation to #EndSARS protests in the West African state.
Akufo-Addo took to Twitter to issue a statement about the happenings in Nigeria and added that he had spoken to the Nigerian leader.
The leader of Ghana added that he did not ascribe to violence and he was of the conviction that it was not the solution to the current problem.
One of his tweets read:
“I join all well-meaning persons in calling for calm, and the use of dialogue in resolving the #EndSARS impasse in Nigeria. I have spoken with President Buhari, who is committed to this end, and has begun the processes that will lead to reform.”

Following the above tweet, President Akufo Addo made another tweet which read:
“Violence, be it on the part of the Police or protesters, cannot be the solution.
To the families who have lost their loved ones, I express my sincere condolences, and I wish the injured a speedy recovery. 2/2 #EndsSARS”
