It all happened when Nana Addo was introducing all parliamentary contestants to hundreds of party supporters on the campaign grounds.

He said
With Hopes of grabbing the seat from their Opponent, Vanderpuye who happens to be the incumbent MP, the president was addressing the people of the constituency to vote for him and his parliamentary Candidate.

However, the president mentioned Nii Lante Vanderpuye instead of Nii Lante Bannerman during the rally. He was quickly alerted about the error and later mentioned the right name.
A lot of people after watching the video said it was a mistake due to the fact that the names are very similar and the president also said it was a mistake.
Meanwhile, Nii Lante Vanderpuye reacting to this said the President didn’t mistakenly endorse him, he added that he was directed by God to endorse him instead of his party candidate.
