Presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama in a press conference held by the party at Cantonment, Accra has confirmed that he has not congratulated Nana Addo.

There were reports circulating on some news outlets that John Mahama has called Nana Addo on phone to concede defeat and had congratulated him for retaining the seat as the president of Ghana.

Reacting to the news, in a brief statement, John Mahama has stated that he has not called to congratulate anybody.

Also, John Dramani Mahama revealed that he and the NDC will resist any attempt to subvert the will of the people.

The presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) again expressed his gratefulness to the electorate who have voted to make it possible for the party to obtain the majority of the seats in the next parliament of the country.

It follows the opposition party’s conviction that it will no longer be in the minority in the next legislature per its own analysis of the results of the just-ended 2020 polls.

To support the party’s belief, John Mahama in the press conference congratulated the party and appreciate the many voters whose support enabled the NDC to achieve this feat adding that the effort is a sign of change.
