The Electoral Commission of Ghana with it’s chairperson, Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensa has taken back the results of the presidential polls that was declared on December 9, 2020, after admitting it contained some errors.

On Thursday, December 10, 2020, a new post has been shared on the official verified Twitter handle of the Electoral Commission which reveals some corrections were made.

In a statement, the Electoral Commission clearly acknowledged that the Chairperson, Mrs Jean Mensah mistakenly used 13,433,573 as the total valid votes cast, which was not the case.

See the new results published by the EC below:

According to the commission, the total valid votes cast is 13,119,460 and this does not change the percentages stated for each candidate and the declaration made by the Chairperson.
