Thedistin.com has chanced on a rare throwback video of Nana Akufo-Addo rejecting Presidential results declared by the Electoral Commission after the 2008 run-off election.
In the year 2008 the election went into a run-off, and Afari Gyan, then the Electoral Commissioner, declared NDC Presidential candidate the late Evans Atta-Mills as President-elect of Ghana.
However, NPP Presidential candidate then, Nana Akufo-Addo rejected the results declared by the Electoral Commissioner stating claims that his party agents in Volta Region were denied from entering coalition centres adding the results were not authentic.
He also stated incidence of violence metered out to his party agents.

According to him, the election was not free, fair and authentic, as such it did not reflect the true will of the people of Ghana.
This throwback video is currently circulating on social media as a result of John Mahama, NDC Presidential candidate, rejecting the 2020 election result declared by the EC.

According to him, he won’t accept a fictional result of a flawed election.
