Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has reacted to attacks on his colleagues MPs-elect, Dorcas Affo-Toffey and Kwame Dzudzorli.
The two MPs-elect Dorcas Affo-Toffey for Jomoro Constituency and Kwame Dzudzorli for Keta Constituency were attacked in their residence by armed men.
To show his support for his colleague MPs-elect, he wrote on his Facebook that;
It does appear that the Ghanaian electorate must no longer merely fight to have their votes respected; they must also now fight to have the lives of their elected MPs protected.
I express solidarity with colleague MPs-elect, particularly Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey and Dorcas Affo-Toffey of Keta and Jomoro respectively who are the latest to come under physical attack.
I humbly entreat all fellow elected MPs to improve their personal security as I equally appeal to all constituents to look out for their elected Members of Parliament.
Let’s all look out for each other for there is always better protection in the collective vigilance and solidarity of the masses.
