Ghanaian actor, Richard Asante, well known as Kalybos, has spoken about his current relationship with John Dumelo.
In the just ended 2020 general elections, it was rumored that Kalybos had turned his back against his colleague actor, John Dumelo who is competing with Lydia Alhassan as member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.

It wasn’t just Kalybos, other actors including Prince David Osei, Jessica Williams just to mention few boldly hit the streets of Ayawaso to campaign against their colleague actor, John Dumelo.
They were wearing NPP’s campaign T-Shirts and advising many to vote for Nana Addo. This sparked many controversies online as many expressed their disappointments in them for not supporting their industry player.

Due to how Kalybos and other actors turned their back against John Dumelo, many thought they cannot even speak with him or their relationship has fallen short.

Kalybos has, however, debunked such claims that he is not cool with John Dumelo during an interview with Mzgee on TV3’s.
In the interviewed monitored by Thedistin.com, Kalybos clarified that although they are colleagues they have all the right to join any party political they want and not necessarily supporting John Dumelo because he is their colleague.
Speaking on he video of him mocking John Mahama and John Dumelo, Kalybos stated that he did not intend to mock John Dumelo.
He added that he doesn’t know the person who even shot the video.
Kalybos stressed that John Dumelo and him are still cool.
