Ghanaian footballer Kevin-Prince Boateng has divorced his wife Melissa Satta after 9 years of marriage.

Prince Boateng, 33, got engaged to Melissa, 34, an Italian model in 2011 but the two married in June 2016. The two have a six years old child, Maddox Prince Boateng.
The footballer announced the split on his official Instagram page on Monday as he confirmed they have not been seeing eye to eye for some time now.
Kevin Prince Boateng wrote:
Dopo un periodo di separazione, abbiamo deciso di interrompere definitivamente la nostra relazione, nel pieno rispetto delle reciproche posizioni ed in totale serenità, fermo restando che rimarremo l’uno per l’altro un importante punto di riferimento per la crescita di nostro figlio Maddox.
This translates into English:
“After a period of separation, we decided to permanently interrupt our relationship, in full respect of each other’s positions and in total serenity, it being understood that we will remain an important point of reference for each other for the growth of our son Maddox.”
Melissa also confirmed the news on her page and thanked the player for making keeping her company for the past 9 years.
“Thank you for these 9 years…. and for the best gift… Maddox.” Melissa wrote.
