Speaker of Parliament for the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic, Mr. Alban Bagbin, has declared the New Patriotic Party as Majority in Parliament.
This comes after the independent MP for Fomena, Andrew Asiamah, decided to affiliate himself with NPP in Parliament.

In a tweet sighted by thedistin.com, Former Information Kojo Nkrumah confirmed the speaker’s declaration.
He wrote;
The Rt. Hon Speaker of the 8th Parliament has just declared the NPP as the Majority group in the House following receipt of the letter from the Independent MP for Fomena. Government business will now begin.
