Sensational award-winning Ghanaian hip-hop recording artist Darryl Paa Kwesi Bannerman-Martin who is professionally known as Joey B recounts how he used to buy ‘fose’ from Kofi Mole at Kantamanto way back before he became popular
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Manu, Joey B said while he was an underground artiste he received a huge amount of money from someone and took the money to the popular market to buy outfits.

He then entered one shop and the one who was attending to him was Kofi Mole but at that time he was a normal guy with a normal good boy looks.
While he bought the clothes and some caps, the second-hand dealers indicated that he is a big fan of his and listens to his songs.
On another visit to the market, Joey B said he met one guy in the same shop who was laughing at him for always buying second-hand clothes and goods and he told the guy that very soon he will not see him shopping at Kantamanto again because he will become a star.
Years later, Joey B said he went to Accra Mall to perform and after his performance, someone called him that ‘Mole’ wanted to see him and the guy who came to tell him this was the same guy he once told: “very soon he will not see him shopping at Kantamanto”.
On reaching there, he saw the young man he used to buy second-hand clothes from and they hugged each other.

Joey B said it was a very emotional moment for him and he would have even shed tears because he was moved by how a second-hand clothes dealer had risen to become a music star.
