The Founder and leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah reacts to a viral video of footballer Asamoah Gyan advising Christians to rather give to the needy instead of enriching pastors
According to Asamoah Gyan in a video sighted on his Instagram page, a lot of pastors in Ghana take advantage of their innocent church members and deceive them by taking money from them to enrich their lives.

He added that when the pastor tells his church members that he needs a car, he has made his intentions clear so the church member can contribute to buy him a car to do the work of God
He further said, if a pastor tells you God said you should give him money or sow a seed, don’t do it because God does not need money from you, God should rather be the one to give you money
He went ahead to advise them to rather use the money to take care of the aged and the less privileged in society. Click here to watch the video
Meanwhile, Rev Owusu Bempah has reacted to the video as he explains why pastors take money from the church members although they don’t force them to give.
According to him, what Gyan said was very wrong because just like he get paid for playing football, that is the same way pastors also get paid for rendering their services to various/several churches across the world.
Owusu Bempah added that he has a lot of people he is taking care of financially, he pays school fees and rent for some of his church members.
He further said, after most church service, he shares the offertory to the needy in the church.
He finally said all this is done with the money the members give the church and sometimes he uses his own money.
He then told Asamoah Gyan not to say that again since he can’t play football for a club for free same way pastor need money to survive.
