The Ghana Association of Biomedical Laboratory Scientists (GAMBMLS) says you can’t just walk in a laboratory saying you want to be tested for COVID-19
In an interview with Citi FM, Dr. Dennis Adu Gyamfi, Public relations officer of GABMLS explained that individuals must go through a process before they are attended to.

A person in need of testing must have a referral letter from an approved hospital. If this requirement is not met, free testing will not be administered.

It must be requested, it must go through the Surveillance Outbreak Response Analyses tool or system, that it is where nationally we can all see the data that is coming from laboratories and we use it to manage what we are having from our end
