Annual 6th March Parade Canceled As COVID-19 Cases Rise In Ghana

The 64th Independence Anniversary parade scheduled for 6th March has been suspended by the President of Ghana due to the recent spikes in COVID-19 cases in the country.

A statement from the government also included that all all related activities of the anniversary have been suspended.

The statement ordered regional directors to inform Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Education Directors and Heads of all institutions to halt preparations towards the national event.

Meanwhile, the death toll in COVID cases has increased to 542, 656 new cases have also been recorded and as at 11th February, 7,850 cases were recorded in Ghana.
