Ghanaian actor, Ras Nene aka Dr. Likee but known in real life as Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi in an interview with Abeiku Santana has opened up about his life, how he started acting and more.
The Kumawood actor has soared up recently with his series of funny skits. He is the most talk about comedian in town.
According to Ras Nene, many people know him for acting robbery scenes in most Kumawood movies because the directors looked at him and his brother, Sheefo’s face and hand them those roles.
Explaining how he ventured into movie, Ras Nene stated that he was not into movies, but he and his friend, Tutu, were introduced into the industry by Danny Adjeley and shot their first movie, “Obaa Kokoo Da Mpa Mua”.
Ras Nene aka Dr. Likee said he entered into the movie scenes impromptu after he went to a location of a movie shoot to ask for something from Tutu, his friend, and the strained producer short a character and he had to do it just to replace the missing actor.
Explaining how he got the name Ras Nene, the actor said he used to work for someone at the Magazine shop and due how obedient and appreciable he was, his master called him Nene meaning someone who takes anything regardless of how little or huge it is in good faith.
Ras Nene revealed he comes from Kumasi Tafo and was mothered by Lisbeth Adutumwaa who has passed away.
According to Ras Nene, he is not a comedian but rather a “Keshay”. Explaining what that means, Ras Nene said he likes trick people just like some false pastors and mallams do.

According to Ras Nene, most of his contents are not scripted, he and his producers create them on the spot.
Sheefo also revealed that Ras Nene is his right-hand man and that they have been friends for ages and even people think they are twins.
On how he meets up with stars to shoot short comedy skirts with, Ras Nene used Medikal as an example and said he was linked up by a producer.
