Ghana has become the first country in Africa to receive its shipment of Covid 19 vaccines from COVAX facility.

Early this morning, 600,000 doses of the COVAX Vaccines arrived in Ghana.

The vaccines are to vaccinate Ghanaians so as to build immunity to the deadly virus and curb the spread of the virus as well.

The first 600,000 doses of the vaccine will be going to front line Health workers, patients with critical condition or having underlying health conditions, top government officials among others.

At the moment, active cases in Ghana is reducing as death continue to increase gradually.

Active cases stand at 6,614 and deaths 584.
