Ghanaian comic actor, Ras Nene aka Dr. Likee but known in real life as Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi in an interview with Zionfelx has disclosed for the first time that he will quit acting and focus on his businesses.
Ras Nene who has been in the movie industry for 20 years detailed that he has done his best in acting but he will have to quit acting and manage some new talents and also focus more on his business.
Ras Nene said he had wanted to end acting last year, 2020, but some producers advised him to still go on with his career as an actor however, he will end it all by the end of this year.
According to Ras Nene, many people know him for acting robbery scenes in most Kumawood movies because the directors looked at him and his brother, Sheefo’s faces and hand them those roles.
Explaining how he ventured into movie, Ras Nene stated that he was not into movies, but he and his friend, Tutu, were introduced into the industry by Danny Adjeley and shot their first movie, “Obaa Kokoo Da Mpa Mua”.
Ras Nene aka Dr. Likee said he entered into the movie scenes impromptu after he went to a location of a movie shoot to ask for something from Tutu, his friend, and the strained producer short a character and he had to do it just to replace the missing actor.
Explaining how he got the name “Likee”, he said he used the name of the ‘Likee’ App in one of his comedy skirts when he was tricking another character.
The actor had earlier explained the meaning of “Nene” in a separate interview and said he used to work for someone at the Magazine shop and due how obedient and appreciable he was, his master called him Nene meaning someone who takes anything regardless of how little or huge it is in good faith.
Ras Nene when asked if he has made properties in his 20 years of acting said he has bought lands and he is putting up a house which is currently at it’s lintel.
He said he stopped putting up the house due to some financial problems but he had to force to created a business. He Went to China to import goods to sell.
Accordig to him, he will stop acting by the end of this year, travel overseas and import shoes, sardine etc to sell.
On his main reason of quitting acting, Ras Nene said the pressure in acting is too much, he gets home at the end of the day drained which leaves him with some body pains.

Ras Nene talked about how the mother of his 13-year-old daughter left him because he had no money and more on his comic life in his interview with Zionfelix.
