Ghanaians To Pay For Free Covid 19 Water And Electricity – Kojo Oppong Nkrumah Says

Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has disclosed that Ghananians are going to pay for the free water and electricity they enjoyed during Covid-19 period.

During the emergency of the deadly Coronavirus, President Nana Akufo-Addo initiated some relief packages to lessen the burden of Ghanaians.

President Akufo-Addo directed that Ghanaians will enjoy free water and electricity from March 2020 to December 2020.

Speaking on JoyNews, the Minister for Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah revealed that Government had to borrow 19.7 Million Ghana Cedis so as Ghanaians can enjoy the covid-19 relief packages.

He added that at some point we would have to pay back the money the Government had borrowed from the Bank of Ghana.
