Ghana Education Service (GES) has appreciated Mad. Gloria Efya Lardi, a teacher who bought school uniforms, books, pens etc. for her pupils in Koforidua Municipality with her own salary.

Ghanaian female Teacher, Gloria Efya Lardi has lifted burdens of the shoulders of some parents as she uses her salary to buy bags, uniforms, and shoes for her school kids.

She gave the items King of Gloria Presby Basic School in the New Juaben South Municipal of Koforidua in the Eastern Region.

Madam Lardi recently provided 10 school bags, stationery, 26 pairs of shoes, 21 pairs of socks, and some underwear for the students after painting the classroom.

She went viral as most social media users and online news portals were touched by her rare act of kindness.

She, however, has explained why she does all she is doing for the school kids in a Facebook post.

She explained;

“I taught for five years in the KG department and I was doing all these things, buying uniforms, stationeries and schoolbags because most of the parents were finding it difficult to provide these basic things for the kids. Which makes the kids unhappy anytime they come to school. I thought it wise to be their second parent anytime they are with me in the classroom.” She explained her reason for helping the kids.
