Mother Of Rastafarian Student Denied Admission At Achimota School Bitterly Expresses Disappointment In GES

The mother of the boy, Maanaa Meyers has finally spoken about how disappointed she is in both the school and the Ghana Education Service

According to her, she is very disappointed in the Ghana Education Service, the headmistress and the National Association of Graduate Teachers

Mrs. Meyers speaking to the media insisted that the school demanding that her son cutting his hair is not right.

She added that, she even suggested to tie her son’s dreadlocks in a way that won’t make it look disgusting like as people are saying it does.

I am quite disappointed because there was no room for compromise. They were only insisting that we cut the boy’s hair. I even asked if there is any compromise where we can even tie the hair a certain way where it will not look disgusting as people perceive it… and they said no

However, some photos have been trending showing how the school admitted some white foreigners with long hairs but refused to admits the young boy because of his hair
