Rufftown Records signee, Wendy Shay, has dropped a video narrating her journey so far in the music industry and reveals date for her second album.
In the video shared on her Instagram page, Wendy Shay talks about how she decided to quit pursuing her nursing career and purse her dream career which was music.
She talks about how it was a tough decision but with her mother’s blessing she came to Ghana and signed a contract with Bullet of Rufftown Records.
Wendy Shay revealed that she came to Ghana with only 50 Euros in her pocket.
However, in 2018 she released her first song “Uber Driver” which was hit and went on to release more hit songs.
A few months later she released her first album “Shay On You” which went on to win 13 awards.
Then, followed the social media trolling and harassment from Ghanaians.
According to her, some Ghanaians even threatened to kill her.
She added that despite all these trolls, harassment and threats, her fans “Shay Gang” have helped her to keep pushing.
As a result, Wendy Shay is set to release her second album “Shayning Star Album” on 16th April 2021.
