Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has reacted to Twitter building it headquarter for Africa Operations in Ghana

Earlier, CEO of microblogging site Twitter, Jack, is set to establish the Africa Twitter Headquarters in Ghana to help boost the image of Ghana Technology.

The news of establishment was tweeted by Jack himself, expressing his gratitude and love to the government of Ghana and the people of Ghana for accepting to host the Head Quarters of Twitter Africa Region

In a post on Twitter Blog on why Ghana was chosen instead of any country, it stated

As a champion for democracy, Ghana is a supporter of free speech, online freedom, and the Open Internet, of which Twitter is also an advocate. Furthermore, Ghana’s recent appointment to host The Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area aligns with our overarching goal to establish a presence in the region that will support our efforts to improve and tailor our service across Africa.

Meanwhile, the minister took to his Twitter page to comment that it is a big win for Ghana, since more jobs will be coming into the country for the youth in the tech space.
