#FixTheCountry: Ghanaian Youth To Organise Demonstration On Mothers Day

Ghanaian youth demanding good governance and accountability from the government is set to organise a peaceful protest march on May 9th.

In a petition letter sent to Ghana Police Service requesting for permission to hold a peaceful demonstration, its stated that the march is expected observe social distancing during the protest.

This came after some section of Ghanaian youth and some older generation began an online campaign on #FixTheCountry, whereby they shared their grievances about the poor state of the country in the midst of Covid 19.

Many people also joined the campaign which has propelled the youth to take the campaign from just the internet to the grounds to tell the government what exactly is happening on the grounds.

The protest is expected to be held on May9 2021 beginning from the Blackstar Independence Square through Atta Mills High Street to Sunyani Avenue on the Kanda Link.
