Video: President Akuffo-Addo Sets 4th June As Green Ghana Day To Lead In Planting 5million Trees In Ghana

President Akuffo-Addo has declared 4th June 2021 (Friday) as Green Ghana Day as its set to begin the Green Ghana Project.

The government of Ghana as part of its UN obligation of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of achieving climate change, Nana Addo government has committed in making sure that 5 million trees are planted on Friday.

Nana Addo in a statement has called on Ghanaians to join the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resource as they begin the national assignment of tree planting.

According to the president, human lives are tired to tree thats why there is the say ” When the last tree dies, the last man dies”

He has therefore call on all Ghanaian to join the exercise and make sure that, enough trees has been planted to protect the future for generations unborn

The project is expected to help conserve the environments after it was destroyed by illegal miners, leading to deforestation and destruction of water bodies
