After the incident, Joyce Dzidzor has been threaten by many people for intentionally infecting them with the virus for which she knew her status.

This made her to come to call on Ghanaians who have the virus to make their status known to reduce the stigmatization.

According to her, over 400,000 Ghanaians are on the Anti-Retroviral Drugs which are been given to HIV infected people to reduce the viral load in their system.

These people are family members, friends and relatives of whom we all live with in the same community since their status are not known.

She has therefore called on Ghanaians to stop the stigmatization and accepts people living with the virus.

In a Facebook post, she said

There are almost four hundred thousand (400,000) Ghanaians placed on HIV medication in Ghana. There are also thousands of people walking around without knowing their HIV status…..Among these people are your friends, relatives, girlfriends, and boyfriends you sleep with, eat with, club with and play with. For the fear of rejection, most people with HIV continue to hide thier status in oder to continue with thier beautiful relationships with friends and families…..But let’s just say in Ghana, I’m the only one living with HIV
