Late Ghanaian president, John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills would have been 77 years old today, Wednesday, 21 July, 2021John Dramani Mahama commemorates him.

Late Atta Mills was a Ghanaian politician and legal scholar who served as President of Ghana from 2009 until his death in 2012.

He was inaugurated on 7 January 2009, having defeated the governing party candidate Nana Akufo-Addo in the 2008 election. 

John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills was born on July 21, 1944, Tarkwa and sadly died on July 24, 2012, at the 37 Military Teaching Hospital, Accra. He was buried on August 10, 2012.

John Mahama used his social media outlets to pay tribute to him on his 77th birthday.

In other news, journalist and TV host, Nana Aba Anamoah has been bashed on social media for promoting a petition to ban Hon. Kennedy Agyapong from entering United Kingdom, U.K.

This petition is reportedly an agenda with some Ghanaian journalists behind it.

According to rumors, it started to make waves on social media after Kennedy Agyapong threatened to deal with one Joy News presenter called Mr Asare Donkor.

Mr Agyapong, was reported to have verbally abused and threatened to attack Mr Asare Donkor, “for the journalistic work that the latter undertook during the recent shootings and killing incident at Ejura” on Net 2 TV, a television station owned by the MP on July 9.

The politician was filmed on a live programme which was widely published on social media platforms, stating that, “if he [Mr Agyapong] were President, he would have ensured that Erastus Asare Donkor is beaten mercilessly.”

Following his threat to the journalist, the company filed a lawsuit against the Assin Central MP and he also vowed to deal with them in court.

Well, to the surprise of Thedistin.com, an online petition is spreading like wildfire as some journalist are asking their fans to sign to get Kennedy Agyapong banned from entering U.K.
